Panchkula: Two persons were killed while one was seriously injured after the Bullet motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a canter early on Saturday. Police have registered a case.
Deepak, 28, a resident of Kundi village, Sector 20, told the police that he was on his way back home after work when three persons on a Bullet motorcycle passed by him at around 1.20am.
When they reached Sector 12-A/14 dividing road, a speeding Vita milk canter hit the motorcycle from behind. All three occupants of the motorcycle fell dowm, injured.
He said that the canter driver fled from the spot with his vehicle. Deepak stopped and called an ambulance. The victims were rushed to the civil hospital in Sector 6. Doctors said that Rajender Gupta and Vipul Thakur, both residents of Maheshpur village, Sector 21 were brought dead while the third person was referred to PGIMER Chandigarh in serious condition. His identity is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered.
