St Francois, MO (September 4, 2022) – A traffic collision reported in St Francois on Saturday morning left a 17-year-old female with injuries. Just after 11:20 a.m., on September 3, calls for help came in regarding a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Mitchell Road.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper C Walker responded to the scene of the accident. MSHP and firefighters blocked the area of 1435 Mitchell Road as they worked to clear the scene.
Preliminary reports surrounding this vehicle crash depict that a 2000 Mazda 626 was traveling north on Mitchell Road. The driver of the Mazda failed to negotiate a curve. As a result, the monster traveled off the right edge of the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then continued sliding forward and crashed into a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro.
A 17-year-old female from Park Hills, Missouri, suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The teen was transported by St Francois County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, where she was provided treatment for her injuries.
Investigations into the crash are underway at this time.
